Minbo has more than a decade of experience as lawyer and is specialised in assisting SMEs and high net worth individuals in corporate governance, business restructuring, tax planning, contract review and due diligence investigations.
Early in his career he conducted due diligence, contract negotiation and corporate governance for acquisition and operations of a $16+ million pastoral lease in the Northern Territory, the first Chinese investment of its kind in that State at the time.
Later, Minbo acted for a Chinese state-owned enterprise in reviewing, advising and negotiating a contract for the building of a floating production unit for one of Australia’s largest natural gas companies involving lawyers from the USA, Australia, Malaysia and China.
He has acted for overseas Chinese high net worth individual in the top 30 in the country. Locally, he has also done retail leasing, franchising and dispute resolution for both one of the most well-known Chinese restaurant chains and most recognizable Thai restaurant chains in Sydney.
Most recently he personally argued at trial and achieved a successful result for his client against senior counsel in the matter of ATL (Australia) Pty Ltd v Cui [2023] NSWSC 336.
